Privacy policy

The Smart Shopper application (“the app”) by PriceReal, contact info@pricereal.sk. Effective 12 October 2026.

What we process

• Account: e-mail and password (only its hash is stored). The app does not work without an account.
• Household: shopping list, stock, loyalty cards (card number), budget and store selection. Visible to the household members you invited.
• Receipts: store, date, items and amounts. When an eKasa QR code is scanned, the code is sent to the Slovak tax authority portal (ekasa.financnasprava.sk) and the receipt is fetched from there.
• Photos: receipt photos stay on your phone; the server receives a photo only to read it and does not store it. Photos of stock and cards are never stored.
• Prices: the app keeps a price history from your receipts, visible only to your household.

Who processes the data

• The app's server runs in the EU (DigitalOcean, Frankfurt) and communicates over HTTPS only.
• For reading photos and splitting text we use an OpenAI model; it receives the photo content or the written text, not your e-mail or identity.
• Flyers are downloaded from public sources; they are not your data.

What we do not do

We do not sell data, show ads or track you outside the app. The app uses no analytics or advertising SDKs.

Your rights and deletion

We delete your account and all household data on request by e-mail to info@pricereal.sk within 30 days. Leaving a household removes your access to its data; the last member deletes the household.

When this text changes, we update the effective date at the top of this page.
